New here.....surgery tomorrow 10/29

Dinky,
I know exactly what you have been through and are still going through. I am 22, single, and I gave up having kids almost two weeks ago. I had a TVH for endo. I had my left ovary and tube taken out just 7 months ago because the endo had completely over taken them. It was a hard decision to make, but I have been living with pain since the menses all started at age 13. I could not fight any longer to save my fertility. I just got to where I hurt all the time, and the BC pills didn't work, and I felt the greatest when I was put on the Depo shots, but that only lasted for a few months. After trying everything else, having a hyst was my final choice. I was on Demoral (I don't know if I spelled that right) the night I was in the castle, and then Percocet when I was able to come home. I only took that for about four days, and then I quit taking them because I wasn't hurting bad. I was able to drive 8 days after, but I think that was only because I had mine done vaginally. I was put on Prempro the day I left the castle. I've heard that women with endo should wait six months before taking HRT, but I am hoping my doctor knows something I haven't heard. Just remember to rest, walk a little if tolerable, and drink plenty of fluids. I wish you a speedy recovery and lots of pampering!!! I am one week, 5 days post-op, and I still get tired really easy after taking short walks! Just don't rush yourself!!! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Many Hugs!!
