Post-op belly fat & weight gain

It's been a little after a year of surgery (went thru belly button). I used to have a flat stomach and now it feels like I don't have control over my belly muscles and my belly is fatter. Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal and what can be done about it?

I have experienced a fatter belly but mine started before surgery. Due to my pain level and not being able to exercise more often caused my issue. Do you exercise and watch what you eat? If so, check with the doctor to make sure that your hormones are doing OK. Otherwise, try a new form of exercise like belly dancing. You will learn to get control over your tummy area. Good luck!

I forgot about belly dancing!!! I was trying Tai Chi...not a good idea right now but with practice and patience (read -- don't overdo!) I am getting back at it. I have a flatter but FATTER belly since surgery.
