I Am More Worried About The Vaginal Posterior Repair. Is Anyone Having This Type Of Procedure Around March 25th. I'm Looking For Someone To Chat With And Compare Stories Etc?

Worried About Posterior Repair

Hi, did you check out the pelvic floor & bladder forum? Lots of ladies there with the same vaginal procedure. I also have a prolapse - of everything, but I am having a different procedure (repairs done abdominal). Check that section out - it has helped me tremendously!

Worried About Posterior Repair

I had a rectocele Feb.19th. I can already appreciate the surgery! My bowels still are not quite working how I would like them too, but I no longer have the feeling of my bowel movements backing up into their own private sack somewhere and refusing to get a movin' on out. To protect my stitches (epesiotomy -sp- like) between my bum and my vagina, I still have to "splint" that wall a little by supporting that area with my fingers while I'm having a more solid movement, but my movements are actually normal looking now - not pea-sized.

I wish you luck on your surgery -- it is worth it. It was for me!

Signed, one happy cystocele girl.
