Ovaries: Removed both

Good luck to all of you about to have your surgeries!

I have a great hint for that first post-catheter bathroom visit. Turn on the warm water in the sink and put your hand in it. It took about 10 seconds for me to go after that. Stool softeners and mineral oil made my first bowel movement easy as well.

The things I brought to the hospital that I used the most were:
Lip balm
Thin pads
Lotion
Face wash
Deodorant
A good, easy beach-type book
Maternity pants with no waist -Target has good ones
A belly band - I didn't use one in the hospital, but put it on to take walks now. It really helps!
