Pain..1-10

My pain in recovery was about a .5 because as soon as I was awake I needed to pee immediately, which I did by myself. Then I asked for food and was given cranberry juice and graham crackers. I had an LSH and just about dodged all the bullets with that procedure. I took a few percocets afterward at home to sleep but didn't finish them. Didn't need them. However, a few months after my surgery I got a toothache. Now that was a 10+! Thank God I saved some of those percocets.

Pain..1-10

I had TVH with spinal and light sedation. The ANES put morphine in her "cocktail" and I had absolutely no pain right after.

My surgery was at noon, and I was totally un-frozen by 6 pm.

After that I had mild pain maybe 2 or 3 -- All of that was managed with nothing more than acetominaphen (sp) and ibuprophin (sp).

I actually had more discomfort from the D&C, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy that I had a month before my surgery than I have had from this surgery.

Hope this helps. It seems though that pain level and pain tolerance are very personal and difficult to predict.
