Hyperplasia and Migraines

I've been reviewing this wonderful site for a few weeks. It has been very helpful. My questions---I have been diagnosed with recurrent hyperplasia which is non-cancerous abnormal cells in the uterus. After trying other options my Dr. has scheduled me for a hysterectomy. She will remove the uterus and the cervix. It is my choice whether or not she removes the ovaries. My first questions -- has anyone else had a hysterectomy because of re-current hyperplasia? A D & C or ablation procedure are not options since the hyperplasia is recurrent. I am concerned about these non-cancerous cells becoming cancerous at some point. And if the ovaries are left in could they then become cancerous. My second question---I suffer from chronic migraines with the most severe migraines during PMS week. Has anyone had any experience with the number of migraines being reduced because of the removal of the ovaries? My thought is that if you don't have a cycle anymore, you shouldn't have the cyclical migraines.

I was hoping to be rid of migraines! My doc thought that my depro vera shots may be causing them. 10 days after surgery I had another migraine. I am now almost 4 months post op and haven't had one and I'm hoping I don't have another. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
