Infection from swimming?

Oh dear, I would err on the side of caution and avoid it - but perhaps I am biased.I have a thing about swimming pools after having got bacterial infections from them in the past. Ask your doctor.

Infection from swimming?

I'd check with your doctor. I've only been on one cruise, when my oldest was 2. At that time, they didn't allow swim diapers in the pool. When I asked why, they told me they use sea water, and it is not chlorinated. I'd worry about the ship pool and infection, just for that fact. But do have a happy cruise! All that relaxation should be good for you!!!!

Best to check with your Dr. Most women are cleared after 6 weeks to resume sex, tub baths and swimming but your Dr will need to be sure you are healed well enough first. Be very careful not to overdue things, rest frequently especially on those excursions that require a lot of walking. Have a wonderful trip, I adore cruising!!!

Infection from swimming?

I am 9 weeks out and the incision has not closed yet, we are still packing it. Anyways, I asked the dr today and he said no tub baths until the incision is completely closed, otherwise you can get an infection. He said the danger from bacteria in the water is too great, and I would imagine that would go for swimming pools as well.
