3 weeks Post-hysterectomy and feeling new pain...normal?

I'm 3 weeks into post-op and I'm having new pain. Twinges below incision sites, by hip area....dull aches above incisions...nothing too bad and I can manage it without pain pills but these are all new pains. Is it just my internal organs healing or something else? No new discharge just the same light brown to pink discharge with no weird smells, going to the bathroom ok too.

The pain sometimes feels like hot pokers if that makes any sense. Sometimes by lower stomach/crotch area twinges of pain, stabs of pain then goes away. 😬

Re: 3 weeks Post-hysterectomy and feeling new pain...normal?

I feel the hot pokers type pain on the front of my vagina, a little lower than the incision, it feels almost like razor burn, but it isnt razor burn, I was told its the nerves mending and healing all over again. I hope you feel relief soon!!

Re: 3 weeks Post-hysterectomy and feeling new pain...normal?

From weeks 3-6 internal stitches dissolve and those are the pains you are most likley talking about.
The pains move around and quite sharp and either last a few seconds to a couple hours....
If you have a fever, bleed more, have any foul discharge then definitely go to the doctor....or if you have any concerns then make sure to go to the doctor to be sure you are healing correctly.
But it does sound like its the internal stitches dissolving. And you can get some more discharge during this time, just be aware of that.
Take care
