5 weeks post-op, yellow discharge, no infection. Ideas?

I had a LVAH on July 19th, with a second surgery (vaginal) on August 1st to remove a hematoma that formed and got infected following the first surgery. I had a fair bit of vaginal bleeding following the first surgery especially, but now it's finally stopped and I'm still having yellow discharge. It's very minimal, doesn't smell bad...but I have no idea what it is.

I was conerned so I went to the doctor and they swabbed it and it came back fine, no yeast, no infection etc. Maybe I'm just not good with my female anatomy or something, but I have no idea what it could be. I kept my ovaries so I still have a cycle, but they removed my cervix which is where I thought discharge came from. Can it just come from the vaginal canal? Or could this just still be healing?

Thanks so much.

Re: 5 weeks post-op, yellow discharge, no infection. Ideas?

At my 6 week post-op, my doc said the discharge I had around week 5 was the dissolved stitches. You are probably still healing. I'm curious about the discharge question as well. Mine stopped after week 6, but wondering if I can get rid of all my unused panty liners yet!

Well I am 2 months and one week out from my LATVH with both ovaries removed. I still have a discharge that at any given time will go from clear to milky to yellow(which is what it is most of the time). I have also wondered how long this last as I have had everything taken out so would be nice to know if this goes away at some point.

Interesting to know I'm not the only one (and I'm glad I'm not the only one who wonders what it is!) My doctors look at me like I'm crazy for wondering...I feel like they think that since there is no infection and no "problem" I shouldn't care, but I can't turn off my brain LOL

It just keeps saying ... there's nothing in there so WHERE OH WHERE is it coming from...

If I get an answer when I see the ob-gyn next week I will let you gals know!
