Post op LAVH Tuesday Jan 20th

Gee, how many of us can actually say they were having their uterus removed at the same time the new president of the US was being sworn in? Well, I'm one of the lucky ones on that front ha ha ha.

Dr. said the surgery went well, and I was done in less than two hours. Everything that was removed went to pathology of course. The scariest part was the phone call I got on Wednesday. One of the masses that the dr. THOUGHT was endo, turned out to be a fast growing, aggressive cancerous tumor. Soooo, I'm home recovering from my first surgery, only to find out I get to have another one! I've been referred to a specialist, to have my lymph nodes biopsied, and to discuss what treatment options are best.

It's possible all the cancer was contained, and this is the end (well, after the next biopsy)......

At least the physical pain isn't so bad right now. I'm making sure to rest, and not sit/stand/stay in one position for too long. THANKS for listening!

I was having my surgery the day everyone was voting. I watched it on tv that night for the results but I was so out of it I was not sure who won until the next morning. Giggle. I am sorry you have been through so much. Best wishes that everything goes well for you!!!
