surgery tomorrow, 06/28/04

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if there was anyone having surgery tomorrow. I'm off and on nervous, but this site really helps me with what to expect.

I plan on doing some last minute cleaning today, then enjoying the sunshine before I need to do my bowel prep (YUK!)

Aloha, I have mine tomorrow also and I'll be doing the same today except for the bowel prep. I wasn't told to do one which is surprising. I'm having a supracervical hys. I'm 54 years old and in menopause but keeping my ovaries. How about you? Just think, we'll be princesses tomorrow! Good luck!

I've been where you are. Stay positive. I always thought the day before surgery would be the most nerve racking. But it actually was an okay day.

All the best tomorrow to you and all the other June 28th Princesses. Today is probably the hardest day, all the emotions seem to be on overdrive. Take a lot of deep breaths and know that at this time tomorrow you will already be on the road to recovery.

Don't worry if you aren't doing a bowel prep. My doctor told me that I was going to go through enough that he didn't want me to deal with one more yucko thing. I ate only clear liquids the day before and had a suppository at hand if I needed it but my bowels moved fine so I was lucky.

Make sure you give us the thumbs up as soon as you feel able to get on the keyboard. We will all be thinking about you.

tommorow is my day also- i've been staying really busy today also- i had my house cleaned friday by merry maids so it was mainly just the picking up and last minute stuff- my dh husband helepd me pack my bags and now i'm just finishing up my side business of double checking- invoicing etc...

Good luck to you tommorow...i'll have all of my great sisteres in my thoughts tommmorow as we go through this together!

I am having surgery tomorrow. I'm am so ready to end all of this pain and nausea. I'm having TAH/LSO due to endo. and a large cyst on my left ovary. I wish you well tomorrow and hope for a quiet recovery!

I wish everyone a speedy easy recovery as well and I will let everyone know about my experience when I get home.

I truly believe that having a positive attitude helps in the recovery process as well as being able to discuss my situation with others who can relate!!
