Swimming?

Ok I am just wondering about this swimming restriction. I went for my 2 week post op on the 8th of August and asked the doc If I could swim yet and she said wait till another 2 weeks. I know this is something to do with infection and all but now that I have been waiting for tomorrow to get here to swim I am scared to go, LOL Anyone have any clue as to how long the stitches stay inside. I didn't have any cuts on the outside because I had a TVH. I want to go bad but am afraid of it being too soon. I still get this psychological feeling that everything is tied together in there and swinging around. I know it isn't and I even stopped holding my belly to keep everything in place but darn this feeling. Any end of July princesses out there swimming yet?
Thanks for any help

Deb

Swimming?

WOW now I am sure it is ok. I will at least go in and get wet and even If I don't stay in or go off the diving board I can cool down. Been at the pool everyday and really want to get in and be wet. Thanks for replying so fast.

Swimming?

I called and asked my doctor at about 2 1/2 weeks, if I could swim in my pool. (TAH) He said it was fine to lounge around in it but not to do laps. The pool feels great, as I don"t have any desire to do laps yet.

Swimming?

I can remember having this conversation with my DR. She said as long as I was not going to a public pool then I would be fine after 2 weeks. Since it was my own pool and I knew the chemical levels were correct and no one in the pool doing things wrong...(p) then it was safe. No laps though!! All DR's have different rules... follow your DR's orders and don't enter too soon.
