bad vaginal pain 5 weeks post hysterectomy?

I'm 5 weeks post op from LAVH. Had total hysterectomy. I had an exam Friday and the stitches were still there and the cuff looked fine. I've been having BAD pain in my vagina for 3 days. I called today and the nurse didn't seem too concerned she said to take my pain meds and if they don't help go to the er. Well I took my 10mg norco and its not helping. The pain is much worse when I'm standing up. No bleeding just a lot of yellow discharge. Doesn't have a smell. I had BV like 2 weeks ago and was on antibiotics and it cleared it. This pain is just really bad and I can't go to the er til tomorrow. Has anyone had bad pain in the vagina like this?

Could it be a "trauma" reaction from your exam? Makes me a bit nervous... My 5 wk check is day after tomorrow...

I had another exam at 2 weeks and I didn't get this pain. :/ its over fast and dr is gentle!

I had my 3 week check today and had an internal exam. It was no different to a usual Pap smear exam- wasn't painful - just a little uncomfortable.
