OMG........this is killing me.......

It will be 4yrs November that I had my hysterectomy. I went into "surgical menopause" and was ok for a good year in a half to two, but man the past couple of years have been terrible. I feel as if I am getting worse. I recently (in March) went on compound HRT therapy. This has been increased once and I could just bite someones head off!!! I feel on edge all the time and I can't stand myself. The past two days I have been a BEAR and fatigue. No one understands me and I just want to crawl up in a ball!!

Anyone every go through this?

What hrt are you using? You just say compounded hrt, which could include various hormones. That said, if things are getting worse instead of better you really need to contact your doctor.

OMG........this is killing me.......

I felt that way for the entire first year when I was on Prempro... 24/7 "PMS" achy/crabbies, tired all the time, and quick temper issues (which is just not like me.) I think I just couldn't get along with the progestins in it.

But when I was finally able to come off that, and start a bioidentical estradiol instead, all those problems just magically vanished for me. It's amazing what a difference it made.

Definitely talk to your doctor about HRT adjustment, and also look through all the too much/too little info on this site... surely there must be something you can do to help yourself get right with the world again.

Best of luck!

I can also relate.

I was on the Vivelle Dot for the first 22 months post op and it was just not cutting it for me. It was wearing off after the first day, I was tired, irritable and achy. When I finally had all I could stand, I went back to my Dr. Summers here are outragously hot and I knew I could not stand to feel like I did this time last year.

I switched to a Femring-which is a soy based estradiol ring-worn in the vagina. It only has to be changed once every 3 months.

It has made a world of difference for me

The key is finding what works for you. It can be soooo frustrating until you do.

I send my best wishes that you find what will work well for you.
