Issues with orgasms after hysterectomy?

I know this is a very delicate issue but, I was wondering about everyone's experience with this. I have read a lot about issues with the depth of them? Does this get better with time or is it because of the uterus being gone those contractions will never occur again?

We are on the same page.
It's said the uterus contracts during an O so I am curious if it will be as good.
I've already started some independent research within the rules of "nothing in the V".
My gyne is understanding when I sheepishly questioned him about O's. He said "it's a quality of life issue".

I think some of this will depend on whether or not you still have your cervix or part of your cervix. Although, I have read both from previous writers, some saying they are better, while others concerned they are not.

I am not far out enough from my surgery to see. So, time will tell for me.

Well I just got cleared this morning from the doctor. My dear hubby was very gentle. The first time was like the first time. Kind of like losing your virginity. I think is wasn't all that because of apprehension. A hundred things going through my head. I can feel that? It doesn't hurt, but it feels weird. Is it suppost to feel weird? Will I hurt later? Will it make me bleed? Is this hurting my healing? So with all these distractions going through my mind, I'd have to say it wasn't the greatest, but like losing your virginity, who's first time was over the moon. It takes time and practice. I know it will get better.

I had my hysterectomy 2 wks ago, I have feelings and desires that I didn't have b4 surgery. So I guess what I'm saying is, for me it's going to be better, when I'm able. Thanks
Oh i guess to answer the question, (manually) no problem at all.

I used to have uterine contractions wth orgasms. I still have contractions even with my uterus gone so whatever muscles contacted during orgasms still work. My orgasms are more intense than before and last longer.

I have a wonderful dr but I am a tad nervous even bringing the subject up.

You're welcome I do want to add that the contractions didn't start right away and I was afraid they were gone for good. Be patient if they don't happen the first few times.

I have no cervix and my orgasms are just as good- contractions are just as strong as before. My problem is libido, as in 'I don't feel like bothering with it', I suspect it's hormonal, but once I get going I get going, if you know what I mean.

I am like Squeemer. I still have contractions where the uterus was. I have zero idea where they come from and honestly don't care. I just know they are deep, intense and last longer than they used to. I had everything removed except the ovaries. I never thought they could be that intense.
