Sticky Saturday August 18th

I was bad last night and never did eat dinner. I went to get my hair cut, discovered when I got home that it was lopsided. So I was upset. Luckily, it looks okay today after I washed and flat ironed it. Dh got home late, than we started talking about the roomie situation. It didn't go well, but I managed to keep my cool and not yell or anything. Glad we aired some things out.

Woke up with a horrible headache this morning. Not a migraine, but a headache none the less. I should probably grab a bite to eat, that may help.

Dh is going to some car races later this afternoon, roomie is going to a concert, I'm going to make myself turkey burgers for dinner. Will slice an avocado and tomato and put between two romaine lettuce leaves.

Valorie, glad you got you some Emma time. How lovely that she has y'all for stand-in grandparents.

Desk, glad you are getting the living situation taken care of. Getting started must be a relief for you.

Hope all have a great Saturday.

Re: Sticky Saturday August 18th

Hi Kim and all who follow!

I'm sorry I didn't post last night. The second wave of the MSG tsunami rolled through, and I was feeling lousy...and sorry for myself. I don't know why I was feeling sorry for myself. Clearly, I'm the cause of these troubles, but ya know...sometimes you just need a good pity party. I'm still under the weather today, but I did manage to get out and shop a little. So, there are some healthies back in the frig and pantry. Life is good.

DS23 surprised us today with an overnight visit...the last hurrah before DS20 heads back to school on Monday morning. I'll probably be curled up in a ball (again) when he leaves, but we've got to let those little birds fly. We've had a great summer with him here. I'll miss him terribly.

Food has been light...mostly starches and fruit. I don't know if it's necessarily the right thing, but it feels right so I'm going with it. My parents want to take everyone out for dinner tomorrow, and I don't have the heart to say no. So we'll see what happens to me. LOL A restaurant is probably the last place I should be right now. They have a beautiful salad bar, though, so that's where I'll be spending most of my time.

Kim...I'm sorry about the headache. That is no way to start a day. Glad the hair was fixable. Whew! I wonder if those stylists know how risky their jobs really are! LOL Hope the head pain subsided quickly and you could enjoy your day off.
Desk and Valorie...Thinking of you both and hope you are finding some time for rest and relaxation!

Hellos to any other BESTERS who may be passing through!
Have a wonderful sleep all,
PJ

Re: Sticky Saturday August 18th

PJ,
Be sure and make smart choices when you go to dinner tomorrow. I understand about not wanting to say no, but you can make smart choices when dining out.

Ugh, my head is still hurting. It's been a wasted day. Races for dh were called off due to rain. It's just drizzled a bit here, but evidently it is raining more 70 miles east of here. Have spent the day just lazing around the house and watching TV. I got a good nap in, but it didn't help my head.
