Question for anyone who has Interstitial Cystitis

Has anyone who has IC had any flare ups with your pelvic pain after your hysterectomy? I felt like I was getting a uti in the hospital and for a day or to after surgery. Ran a high fever and DR put me on 2 strong antibiotics to cover several things, it was the weekend and my second day home and he didn't know what was causing it. I took levaquin and then my bladder felt better. Now, for the past 2 days my pelvic pain from my IC is starting to bother me. I think my urologist is out of town for several weeks. I am not sure what to do for it since I already take medicine for it. Although, I have been forgetful of it lately, because of taking antibiotics. So how is anyone else with this?

I have IC and had been taking prophylactic medication for it prior to surgery (Macrobid and Urised). I had an infection post-op from the catheter and took a course of a different antibiotic for that. Then the pain, etc. from the IC flared up again for me and I have had it off and on ever since. I have an appointment with my urologist on June 18 (soonest I could get in).
I definitely feel your "pain".
