Hysterectomy: August 13th, 2010

Surgery Type: TLH

Ovaries: Kept 1 or both

Lowest Incision - TLH

I am really swollen and had a little bit of a belly anyways but now its really swollen. My belly now goes over the incision in my lower pelvic area. Will that be able to heal?

Has anyone else had that?

It is not unusual to be swollen after surgery, it wasn't for me. I have swollen after each surgery I have had, even lap surgeries. Healing takes time. You are only a week out from surgery. Give it some time. And do not hesitate to talk with your doctor if you are concerned.
