just wanted to share my story so far!!(longish)

Hello Ladies..hope we all are doing well today.....
Ok here I go... I have always had the horrible cramps since my first period....I thought it was normal and well my mom never told me that I wasnt suposed to have these cramps...I would be in bed for about 3 to 4 day with severe cramps..buy the 5th day I would be so weak from getting sick and bleeding.. After my first child they seemed to mellow out somewhat..my prenancy was on the rough side with pre term labor... I was on dolobid for pain, it didnt work at all.
in 1999 i got pregnant with my daughter....It was a very painful pregnancy..they kept telling me it was normal..I didnt agree at all. I had a traumatic birth. My first period wad aweful the pain came back full force. about 3 month in to it I was in pain 2-3 weeks out of the month but mild bleeding.....they sent me in for a lap in 2000..Finally, the gyn looked for endo saw nothing and closed me up... I did bcp's for months and called her every week..... finally she told me that I was to talk to my regular dr about the painthat she could do no more and her only option was prozac because there was nothing wrong...my pcp agreed...I left both of them, after the search I found a nurse practitioner that was wonderful she found the current gyn I have..she got me an MRI that showed a tiny fibroid..she wasnt backed by the hospital anymore and had to find a new pcp...well my new one is a true fruit case...but a wonderful person...she tried to find the problem.....then one day I said can I just have a hyst..well a sigh of relief came out of her...so I headed back to the gyn.....he and I talked and he wanted the shrinker evaluation (i was rapped at 12) well i was smart already had it done...they deemed me sane..i personally beg to differ but shhhhhhhhh.....
but anyway...i went back because the pain was unbelievabley bad..i got his nurse practition...when she was done ripping out my insides, she chimes out I think you have have cervical cancer...OH yay...well my drs assititant saw me in a real lot of pain when i left...next day I called said I didnt like the way it had went that i wouldnt wait the 4 months to come back...she made an appt with my gyn.she made it for his first day back from vacation..I went in talked to him again and he said i did have an abnormal pap did a test took a piece of my cervix....which i must say hurt less than the previous weeks pap with the nurse pract...we talked for over an hr...hubby told me to find out the other option to try...Lupron not an option for me, pain management specialist, had seen one already...been to Reiki II and hypno, cst( cranial saceral theropy) so he said well I am about 75 to 99% sure its adeno and you need the hyst....well geee look in the file guy I said that 3 yrs b4 this...I knew that was what I have....he laughed when I told him that....
sooooo here I am all test back with normal results, and a date for my hyst on the 11th....I cant wait....I think my uterus was keeping alot of the pain inside, since I got my date last week I have been in the worse pain ever...maybe my bodies way of making sure I dont back out..who knows LOL....
just thought I would share with you all.....I am hoping they do not find endo in there, but if they do atleast the monster will have a name....I also hope that it is adenomyosis and that it takes away the pain. thank you for reading this, have a great day!

Finally!

Oh Haileigh, you must be so relieved to finally have the surgery scheduled. It's just too bad that you had to suffer so much all these years with pain. The good news is, after your recovery, you will feel soooooo much better!

Isn't it strange that drs. think they know more than we do about our own bodies? I know they have the education, but I believe they should trust our instincts more.

I'm glad you finally got what you knew you needed for years. Keep us posted.
