Low long of a stay in the castle??

Jana:

I am scheduled for an LSH (Laparascopic Supracervical Hyster) next week at 7:30 am. My doctor told me that if I felt good (which apparently many women do with this procedure), I could go home late in the afternoon, same day. Or worst case...the following morning. Most of the other LSHers are in the hospital for no more than 24 hours (assuming no complications).

Low long of a stay in the castle??

HI,

I had a TAH/BSO on a Monday and was sent home on Thursday. My requirements for release, pass gas, able to eat solid food, take oral pain meds and good looking incision (no drainage). I was cut vertically - I still feel like a turkey at Thanksgiving.

Low long of a stay in the castle??

Just like the post above, I was in surgery 9-8-03, a Monday and went home on Thursday. I also had a vertical inscision for TAH/BSO plus appendectomy. I was not allowed any solid food until Wednesday night and the catheter didn't come out until Wednesday morning. I was told before surgery that I would probably be in 2-4 days.

Four days for me

my surgery was 9/17--TAH vertical incision. they had to give me blood on friday, and i went homm sat.
didn't have to poop, though i did.
the big criteria was passing gas. which, i can tell you, nearly levelled the city. and me. whew!!!!

Low long of a stay in the castle??

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy BSO and cervix removed. I had surgery on Friday morning at 8am and went home that night at 8:30pm. I have 3 small incisions. I feel really good today at day5!
Good luck and try not to worry.
