Have 1 simple question...........

Why with adenomyosis, is hysterectomy the only option? I know of many women that have had options, why are they not with this condition? Just curious.

Have 1 simple question...........

Hysterectomy is not the only option. Depending on the individual lady, how severe the problem is, and/or how close to menopause some women wait-- for menopause to cure the problem.

Have 1 simple question...........

Thanks, I guess with my situation, is the only option. I'm 31, have 4 children, had a liagation after my last was born. Have been having problems for 3 years. My gyn found several fibroids, along with the other. My uterus is 3 times the size it should be. So there you have it, my only option.

Have 1 simple question...........

Hi

I don't have any personal experience with adeno but wanted to share a link to the resource section that may be helpful.Endo/adeno...click here

Have you got a second opinion from a different doctor to see if there are other options available? I know it must be frustrating to feel as if there are no alternatives available. Hopefully a second or third opinion will help answer your questions.

Best Wishes

Have 1 simple question...........

There are plenty of alternatives for adeno - ranging from hormone treatments (think birth control pills), to a D&C, and so forth. Whether or not they will work is different from woman to woman. I believe I tried it all to no avail in my case and a hyst was the final straw. Now that I've had it done, I've not had one regret!
