Im getting excited and scared at the same time

Im looking forward to getting this over with, im also getting really nervous/scared. Now that my date is moved up by 2 weeks, its making it all feel more real. My pre testing is thursday, and surgery the following wednesday, it will go fast!!! Im looking forward to being home for christmas, and having this behind me, instead of going through christmas worrying about it. I have been checking even more on my new doctor and the different hospital, i am touring the hospital tomorrow. Everything on my doctor is really good/posotive, and i was able to look up her patient satisfaction rate, and all of the comments from her patients. She has a 92% satisfaction rate, and many awards for her knowledge/skills, i am feeling really good about this decision, and i know i will be just fine. All of the nurses that are my co workers at the nursing home have been so helpful and are so encouraging. They are very confident with this doctor, and said i will be in very good hands, as they have worked with her surgical patients, and think she does a great job!!! I am so very thankful to have found this site, you guys are all the best!!!!!! Thank you all so much!!!

It's normal to feel nervous. I was so ready for mine to be over but was terrified, too. Now I'm on the other side and working toward healing!

I couldn't wait either for my surgery. The waiting is horrible! Thankfully yours got moved up. Sounds like you have a wonderful doctor and will be in good hands.

I'm really nervous also! My surgery is the 21 st of this month and they are taking everything but my ovaries if they look healthy. Kinda worried about my cervix being gone, don't want my sexual relationship to change with my husband but with my history of dysphasia it's best to take it. Doctor never has mentioned a vagainal cuff??

My surgery is the 19th also. The waiting is excrucuating! I'm nervous but SO ready to have it over with. Feel like I'm getting a cold which scares me. If they cancelled my surgery I'm pretty sure I'd explode!!

Mine is on the 19th and is nervous but like you and ready to get it over with. The longer I wait the more nervous I get. I am making plans for Christmas so I need to get it in and out.
