Almost 11 weeks out and DH found a source of laughter

Well, I am almost 11 weeks out. . . DH has been gone for 3 weeks, oh wow, I have loved the quiet, and not having an audience (except my cats) for my moodiness. I really started to truly >feel< a lot while alone.

Well, DH got home (he was away for Valentine's day and our anniversary - I spoiled myself on both!) and he bought me new slippers - the ones my friends got me that, I started to use in the castle (15 Dec), were wearing out. . . well he got me slippers that look like golf shoes - after all, I just go nutz when there is sports on the tv all the time - not peaceful for me at all - so he got me these slippers (so I can enjoy the golf even when he is "trying to" he said) - they have high bottoms like high sneakers, if I describe them o.k.

but. . . get this. . . they wrap around my feet so that my feet look like Minee Mouse feet in golf shoes. . . .DH cannot stop laughing everytime he sees my feet!

He said he was anticipating a time when we would need to laugh a lot together. . . .since Doc gave me go ahead for sex, and I told him "fat chance until I feel like it" - so he brought home these silly slippers. . . .it is helping us laugh together - maybe a first step toward my wanting us to "be together."

sorry for such a long post - but my new footwear really has been fun today.

I know laughter has truly helped me. My DH has almost made feel like my insides are ripping, lately. And I have given him the best material on the planet lately so if big funky golf slippers helps then I say Laugh it up as much and as often as you can. My DD is now getting in on the act to see if she can make mom almost pee her pants or have to hold her belly from laughing by cutting up as often as possible. And I feel great just under 3 weeks out and the libido is starting to kick back in some, but haven't been released so have to be creative and careful in that department. Oh well it will happen soon. I like the reference to minnie - I am far from being a "minnie" women, lost 7-8 punds post op, gained about 5 back and cannot seem to lose more!

Well, so be it. . . . me and Minnie's lost golf shoes are going to bed!
