Pre-op prep

Hi ladies,
I have a question about the pre-op prep and am sure many of you have done this so I hope at least one of you has experienced the same things I am experiencing right now.

I had to drink the lovely phosposoda (ROFL). Of course it works quickly and is fulfilling it's intended purpose but what I am experiencing is severe dry mouth, sweats, vaginal dryness and I'm mildly light-headed.

any of you go thru that with phosphosoda?

Its important that you consume lots of fluids until your cut off time in order to help prevent dehydration--which is what your symptoms sound like.

Thanks for the quick response. that's why I am so puzzled. I drank the solution, then within 2 hours followed that with 40 oz. of water. I have suffered dehydration from a pre-op solution before and promised myself I would never experience that again, therefore I am consuming large amounts of water.

I am about 8 hours away from surgery now and feeling a bit better so I guess it was just the quick acting solution that kind of shook my body up a bit.

I drank a bunch of Gatorade after doing my bowel prep and it helped a lot. I also chugged a lot of water.
