confused about my fibroids/symptoms

Hello everyone! i was told that i have 3 fibroids, 2 measuring the size of golf ball and they are intramural. my period is heavy compared to what i m used to and it seems to be getting bright red. i am currently taking bcp as a contraceptive but my gyn told me that is also a treatment for fibroids. i bleed after sex, sometime brownish, sometime bright red. it seems i start spotting brownish 2 weeks before my cycle. i think the only time i am ok (and i use that term lightly) is one week after my cycle. i m now 3 days into my cycle and having cramps, back pain and pelvic pain. anyone going thru this i would love to hear from you, or if you can offer some explanations. i feel very confused right now.

I'm sorry to hear of all the problems & symptoms you are suffering

You have found a wonderful source of info & support I had my own Hyst..over 4 yrs ago for a few reasons..one being fibroids...
I experienced heavy, prolonged bleeding with severe pain & cramping. I did have a few other conditions going on so I'm not sure whats to blame for what !
