Average stay at the hospital

I had a TVH on tues morning went home wed morning (could have gone home late tues eve)

I had a LAVH & BSO on a Friday afternoon & went home the following Monday afternoon.

I had an SAH/BSO on a Wednesday and went home Friday afternoon.

I am going in on Tuesday afternoon and staying for 23 hours. I suppose depending on your specific surgery determines how long of a stay you will have. I joked with my doctor about keepin me in for a week. I am going to be coming home to 4 kids and 2 dogs. I could use an extra night or 2! LOL

My surgery was late Tuesday, SAH, originially approved for 2 days, my doc got it extended to three and I went home Friday noon. I probalby could have gone home late Thursday (up until then I was on IV painkillers) but I was a lot more comfortable with one more nigh tin a hospital bed, etc.

I had a TVH, kept ovaries & I was out of the hospital the next day.
My Dr. told me I'd be released when I was up & walking, able to pass gas & tolerating liquids...

I had my TAH at noon on Wed and was released Thurs afternoon. I was told I could go home as soon as I could take pain medicine orally, eat, pee and walk. I did very well, and honestly, I think my doctor really wanted to keep me an extra night, but I kind of whined until I got my way. I had someone with me at home to watch me and I don't live far from the hospital.

Had a TAH. Went in on Friday for a 10:40 am surgery.

Got delayed - surgery was actually at 1:00pm.

Thought I would go home on Sunday - - actually left LATE Tuesday night.

My dr wants me to check in on Monday April 14, surgery will be the next day and I'll be discharged on Thursday.

Thanks so much ladies, I was told I might be there until Saturday at the latest, I go in on a Wed. for a TVH hoping I can be home by friday
