Need help! Started colyte 3 hours ago and nothing!!

Is this normal? I've finished nearly all of the container and nothing!

Doc said u might only need half.

i have bathroom issues anyway, I told him about how I only go number 2 every 3 days or so.

If I take oral laxatives they sometimes take 72 hours to work.

I'm afraid ill be pooing on my way to the hospital. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am.

My head is pounding! I feel light headed and like I might puke!

I am having cramps tho, pretty bad every so often

Any advice. Please.

Re: Need help! Started colyte 3 hours ago and nothing!!

I used Miralax last week and started running to the potty before it was even half gone! And yes, I was still going the next morning in pre op! Hang in there, it will start soon...and then won't stop! Good luck tomorrow!

That has to be nerve wracking. Don't worry to much. Just takes a little longer to work with some people. Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Lets us know how it goes.

Try drinkng water, unless it says not to. Maybe a hot bath? Or hot shower? Try to relax and let your body and the colyte take over. Easier said than done, but I can't imagine your body can resist much longer.

When I used that stuff it took many hours to kick in-----four maybe? It felt like it just sat in my stomach for hours. But then finally it kicked in with a vengeance. I hope it kicks in soon. Sounds like you're getting close.
