Vaginal Cramping

Dr. biopsied the cuff so that will tell him if it is fallopian tube....he also told me before the biopsy that it wouldn't hurt if it was just granulation tissue...but if there was something else there it would hurt...and boy did it hurt.!!! Just as bad as the endometrial biopsy I had before all of this.
I still have my ovaries. But he said he would like to take me back to the OR to clean out the granulation tissue...I've had 4 treatments of silver nitrate and he thinks it needs a cleaning out to heal...I'll let you know how my appointment goes. Enjoy the weekend.

Vaginal Cramping

I, too, have cramping which upsets me because I thought this operation was going to take care of this problem. They are very minimal compared to what I used to have, but still upsetting nonetheless. I was hoping it would only be temporary, but now reading your responses, I'm not so sure.

I've heard about phantom pain for people who lose limbs. Apparently they swear they can still feel their missing limbs, so I guess it wouldn't be any different for us so we also lost parts of our bodies.

P.S. Thanks for the giggle about phantom money....

Vaginal Cramping

I am SO HAPPY I happened on this thread tonight..my period would have been the 14th of March and I had my TAH/LSO on Feb 19..and I have my right ovary left..well it feels like I am going to start a period down there..ugh.. What aggrivates me is I had ZERO cramping since my 15 yo son was born..ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG...

Hoping this goes away too and maybe its just my right ovary going beserk because all its female friends are missing?

Love the phantom money comment PattiO..

Vaginal Cramping

Saw another gynecologist on Monday. He tells me that he's had other women tell him they have cramping after the hysterectomy. I said it feels just like a period coming on....he couldn't explain it and didn't mention vaginal cramping. He told me I still have stitches on one side of my vagina....imagine after 4 months! He treated it with silver nitrate and another folded area that had some granulation tissue in it. He couldn't explain why I still had stitches but that is causing me the pain and should be gone soon...but when! This morning I started spotting fresh blood which I've never had even after silver nitrate....so not sure what is going on. The biopsy results weren't available yet. I go back to my regular gyn in 2 weeks.

Please let us know what they say about the biopsy results... You'd think after all we have been thru that this would be a non-issue. Guess not.
