Brown discharge

Hi sisters, I'm 15 days post op and I've just started losing brown discharge Is this normal? I'm a little worried as I have back pain too, I have been going for walks every other day and I'm also worried about this, but the hospital said walking was ok, look forward to your replys.

Re: Brown discharge

Not to sound gross but is it like brown mucus? I had the same thing happen, I talked to my doc and she said it was just blood and normal vaginal secretion

Re: Brown discharge

Hi there, it's really when I wipe myself after going to the loo, there's abit on my pad but nothing to much, I have a water infection at the mo and I'm on antibiotics so I don't know if it has anything to do with that, it's not really mucus. X

Re: Brown discharge

It could also be stitches dissolving. I never had the discharge, just the occasional stitch when I wiped.

Re: Brown discharge

The first three weeks I had a smear of brown to reddish brown discharge every day on my underwear. My doctor said that was normal. I think the brown is just decaying blood.

Re: Brown discharge

I am 17 days post op and yesterday I noticed a little brown (old blood) on my underwear and a slight pink once when I wiped.. I think I over did it the day before. But I was also wondering if it was normal. I have had pretty much zero bleeding since the hospital.

Re: Brown discharge

I was leak free my first week, and then THE DISCHANGE CAME. Nothing to fret over. It is normal. Make sure that the pain you are having doesn't increase. That just may be some pains from surgery. We will have our good days and our bad. It's weird how one day we can feel fabulous and the next feel like we have been mowed down by and angry mob. lol Take care.

Lol yes this is so true, feel great one day apart from the heavy feeling in the lower region but then the next day I feel so tired and no energy, I'm still losing abit of brown discharge but hopefully it will only be for a short time, thankyou for all your replys x
