For you veterans out there...swelling??

Here's some positive news gals! My sister in law had her surgery about 4 years ago - and her belly has returned to normal - and she says - if not FLATTER than it was! Hurray!! And my sister doesn't have one either (surgery many years ago). Both women work out to a pretty good degree - and both look great!

Tamiland - thanks for the positive news. I will keep the faith that it will eventually go away!!

For those of us that are anxious to work on our bellies with exercise....my doctor told me absolutely no sit ups etc until all tenderness and numbness is gone. She basically said the internal sutures will not be totally gone for another 2-3 months for me, and I am to stay away from core exercises until then.

But....she gave me the clear to start biking in the next week or two and then running after that.

I still have some stiches in my vaginal cuff, have a bacterial infection (no biggy), and a possible bladder infection (I'll hear today) so I'm to stay away from sex and harder exercise for another 1-2 weeks.

Today is my first day of work, so I'm sure I'll be too exhausted to do any of these things anyway!

I'm encouraged by the posts saying our bellies should be back to normal at some point. We just need to be patient it seems...
