intercourse

I am at the 5 week mark, and I am feeling great. My surgery went very well, I had hardly any pain or bleeding. My post-op appointment is 5/10. I am getting very nervous about having intercourse for the first time. I am concerned that it is going to hurt, or that I will bleed. What have been some of your experiences after the first time?

I'm at the same point that you are and am also getting nervous. One of my girlfriends told me that as long as our partner takes it very slowly, we will be fine and get back in to the swing of things in no time. I've told my man that he'll need to be gentle and he completely understands... personally, I think he'll do it any way I allow him, as long as he's involved (LOL).

Fingers crossed we'll be fine.

I'm 5 weeks post op and just had my doctor appt yesterday. He gave me the ok! So we did it last night. I can assure you that that was THE best sex of my life!! It did NOT hurt (except if he goes too deep it's a tiny bit tender but nothing to worry about). I had no bleeding! Although my dr said I may get brown discharge after. I had NO cramping at all after. I didn't realize HOW MUCH pain I was in before this surgery!! It is unbelievable that I put up with that! Lol my pain became the norm.

My post-op appointment isn't until the 15th, but I'm hoping to get the green light to painless pleasure then. Thanks so much for sharing. You have made me feel MUCH better about the upcoming weeks. hehehe

Yay! I'm glad! You know women say "sex gets better in your 40s or so" well those women probably had hysterectomies!! Hahah sex is better than EVER!! I'm only 24 :-p

i am in the same boat. i have my 6 wknd check up the 9 th. i am so scared to have sex again. it has hurt for so long that i can't imagine it not hurting. but i have hope

Well, let me just tell you... even with all my pre-hysterectomy pain, I really enjoyed sex and YES, it does get better as you get older. You have much to look forward to. (wink, wink)

Acholloway I felt the same fear. But it was better than I predicted. Oh Boy was it better! LOL

Have to share yes it was great went slow and did not hurt no bleeding and even was better each time after so no fear ladies
