6 wks and starting to feel so much better! :)

Hello I'm at about 6em post open now...and Im finally feeling like I'm getting back to normal theres still alittle...I'd say discomfort inside but nothing like it was. Im sleeping thru the night...oh how I missed that..I can sleep on my sides and I'm even starting to try laying on my stomach. .can't stay that way for long..but I say that's progress. We have even had sex again...gently. .and carefully still but there is no pain anymore!! I can't begin to say how happy I am I had the surgery..only wish I had done it sooner.I still look here for answers and support and am very happy to have found this group so thank you..and just want to share..it gets better..cause at first I hasn't sure..lol

Re: 6 wks and starting to feel so much better! :)

Hi Desweet im glad to know I you are doing well. That gives me much hope, it has been 2 wks for me for I had four fibroids and my uterus removed and afterward I developed the most awful discharge and that made me feel soooo self conscious to be around anyone but the odor has diminished only minor bleeding. I wish continued blessings...

Six weeks was the magic time for me also. It was almost like flipping a switch form one day to the next. Mentally and physically. So for you girls at 2-3 weeks--hang in there!

Re: 6 wks and starting to feel so much better! :)

6 week check up for me today, went great, feel back to normal, I feel blessed to have had an uneventful recovery, I feel for every lady that have had bad experiences, I have had a few myself in the past, just so grateful to feel so wonderful. The Doc said everything was healing great a little more healing on the inside is needed, but everything was ok, I will see him in 6 months. He always has a student, this kid was so young and handsome, made me forget all the questions I wanted to ask,,,
I sleep thru the night now, used to get up 20 times to pee, no leakage so far woohoo, still trying to regulate my bowel movements, he was concerned with that, said to use the laxatives and stool softeners more often, don't want another rectocele and enterocele…
