LAVH finally home

Pain from this surgery is worst post surgical pain I've had in my life. Doctor said that scar tissue had overtaken my left ovary and was basically pulling it out of place. I very much appreciate getting the belly band. She removed everything but was able to leave my right ovary. ( so HAPPY about that! !) Haven't had any type
of appetite at all. I'm so glad that she could
immediately see the problem, just as she
expected. I'm home and have walked around the house some, but mostly rested.
Anyone else out there that still hurts? How much longer will the pain last?
I've been on depo provera for over 11 years and haven't had a period in over ten years. And thankfully have had very, very little bleeding since surgery. But the pain is terrible!!!
For other gals out there that have just had surgery: hang in there. REST. And the belly band is wonderful support. I put mine on after I got home and I feel like it had helped so much.

You are very early still, and how long the pain lasts varies from person to person, from days to weeks!! Important thing is to treat your pain, stay on top of it. Dont miss meds because "its been xx days i shouldnt need that". Theres a reason you hurt, its major surgery even if you dont have a big incision. I stayed on narcotics about a week, then still needed them from timeto time. Added ibuprofen when the dr said ok, that helped a lot!
