I feel angry all the time..ugh

It will be three weeks this friday since my TAH and right ovary removal and recently I just feel angry all the time.

I wake up angry and go to bed angry. I just dont understand it..also sometimes when I hear a song on the radio or see or read something that isnt even sad I just feel like crying.

I have my 3 wk check up tomorrow and plan on talking to my dr about it.

I was just wondering if anyone else went through this after their surgery?

Re: I feel angry all the time..ugh

Crying almost everyday, really depressed, even with my 2 ovaries still intact. i think is mostly the impact of having the surgery and feeling not able to do what you usually do. Talk to your dr, maybe they can give you something for that. or just come here, and talk to us about what;s bothering you.. it helps!

Re: I feel angry all the time..ugh

You and I have had our surgeries about the same time. I get angry sometimes, and I know that it is hormonal, because for me, it comes and goes quickly. It is there, though.

I'd be curious to know what your doctor says--I have my appointment tomorrow. I think, too, its the trauma of what we've been through. I know I thought I would be a lot further along than I am at this point, and that is frustrating.

Hang in there!

I am willing to bet it is surgical menopause, trauma and pain. Tell your doctor, they can help.

Re: I feel angry all the time..ugh

Well I saw my dr today and he said that it is my hormones getting back in order. I go back next week and if I am still having the same problems he is going to check my levels. I also found out today that I have two masses in my gallbladder and they are not sure what that is...and I have to have more tests done on the 28th. I am 25 and feel like I am falling apart...

On a side note I get a card from my sister & nephew telling me that she is having another kid and I am finding it really hard to be happy. I just keep thinking about it and start to cry. I dont even know why because I have two children and had had my tubes tied prior to my hyst.. I guess its just knowing that I am no longer able to have children that is really bothering me.... ugh here I go again

Re: I feel angry all the time..ugh

Does he know you are suffering? I would call him again and ask if you can have estrogen or an antidepressant to help with menopause symptoms until your overies remember how to do their job. You should not be suffering.

Oh, I'm 50 years old and my DIL gave birth to a beautiful girl two months after my hyst. I cried for an hour that I can never experience that again (and I really dont' need any more kids). It's normal to mourn the loss of your fertility, no matter what your age or stage.

Much love to you.
