What To Take
Check the pre-op articles on this site. I believe there is a list of stuff to take to the castle.

What To Take
Yes, check those articles out...they helped me immensely. I only used my deodorant and a little make up (I felt better with it on). Other than that, I took a couple of pictures of my kids to keep me company, and the cell phone (check with your hospital, some may not want you to use one). I took the kids' gameboy, but couldn't enjoy it--the pain med messed with my vision too much.
I put on MY pajamas to go home in, so I didn't have to do anything but lay down once I got home. Just some ideas. Check out the articles! God bless you, and I hope your experience is as good as mine has been.

What To Take
thank you ladies. I have my list made up now, and I will be paying a visit to walmart to get all the little trial sized stuff. (lotion, soap, shampoo, etc.) I am definitely taking a couple of pillows, (one for the knees and one for the head) and my quilt. I forgot about the lipbalm and lotion, so thanks for the reminders! I guess I know what else I'll need, because I remember my c-section, and they say the recovery is very similar.

I believe they do NOT supply that stuff. I would rather have my own nice smelling goodies to make me feel better. But knowing the health care system, even if they did supply that stuff, you would probably get billed 20.00 for each one ounce bottle. I couldn't believe it when they charged me 9.00 for the plastic razor to shave me when I had my daughter!

walmart sounds like a wonderful place. They own a store called ASDA in the UK but from what I've read, there is nothing they don't stock.
Hope you get all you need :
