Extreme pain before and after bowel movement

I am almost 4 weeks post op and have an extreme amount of pain about an hour before I go to the bathroom and another hour or two after. I have Crohn's Disease and was wondering if anyone else with Crohn's had this same problem after a hysterectomy. Had very little pain as a result of my TVH, only need pain meds before and after bathroom. Going to the DR on Thurs., but curious about other's experience. Crohn's was in remission before surgery and stools are normal still, just painful.

I've had problems my whole life with my bowels - inflammation etc. I was doing ok before surgery and then bang, everything was worse. After my TAH/BSO I had severe pain before and after bowel movements. Sometimes I would go to the bathroom 10 times a day and then skip 2-3 days and not go at all. My gastroenterologist said that some people experience problems for up to 12 weeks after surgery. I'm sure it's worse if you have had problems in the past. It seemed to bring mine all back to haunt me. I'm now 10 weeks post op, and for the in the last week I've seen a big difference. I started taking Fibercon. This is good to take whether you are having loose stools or constipation. It just makes you regular. It seemed to almost stop all of the spasms that I was having every time I ate.
