This will end.
Are you using HRT?
If you are the dose is not right.
See your doc and discuss dosage of HRT.
I had this and did the above and since my increased dosage I am better.
Take care.

emotional breakdowns HELP!!

Sunshine 70. I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling so emotional. I am a July 17th (kept ovaries)and only had one major breakdown. It just so happened with/at my 15 year old son who never gives me any trouble. I was so heart broken at yelling at him for no reason. We were both crying by the time I could get the appology out of my mouth. That one time was enough for me to get on a natural OTC progrestone cream. I used the cream prior to the hyst but quit after until that day. Now I do not skip a day. Yes, I feel down and emotional at times but not like that one day.
We are both fine now. He understands that my hormones were knocked out of wack after the surgery and we are both doing what needs to be done to help controll them.
My suggestion is to have your hormone levels checked. HRT may be the solution.

emotional breakdowns HELP!!

Hi sunshine70!

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling so bad.

In your previous posts, you shared that you are taking HRT and also an SSRI. I would think that if these medications were both working properly, at this point the very common "post-hyst crying spells" would start to become few and far between.

If you don't start feeling better soon, I think an appointment with your doctor is in order, to discuss what you are experiencing. Either your HRT can be tweaked, your SSRI, or perhaps both. At any rate, you deserve to be the best "you" that you can be, so be sure to enlist your doctor's help in this challenge.

Many s to you,

still emo

Well thank you everyone for your suggestions and great concern. it is so nice to have people to talk with that know what I am going through. After yesterdays breakdown...real bad couldn't stop, kept telling my hubby how much i hate myself for being this way and it was over something very stupid with my 15yr old daughter. I just get so frustrated on how easily my mood changes. I am usually a very bubbly and fun person to be around but not any more.even now as i am writting this i have tears rolling down my eyes.Well enough of this I am calling my doctor in the am and getting some well deserved help.. Thank you all again for being there. :
