TAH Going home with catheter after hysterectomy

Anyone had to go home with a catheter? I am still in the hospital. I pushed to stay another night which my nurses though was a good idea. Tomorrow I'll be going home but because the fibroid tumor had attached to my bladder the dr had to cut my bladder and repair it. So I'll be at home a week with the catheter and bag. What has been your experience with that? Dr says next week I'll do an X-ray with a dye in my bladder to be sure it has healed.

Feeling rough but I have amazing nurses and hospital staff.

I'm so glad that you have a good experience with the docs and nurses- that makes all the difference when we are so helpless at first!
Glad you are staying another night!
Take it easy at home- remember not to overdo it!
My TAH was 4 weeks ago yesterday and I've been on minimal activity since then per doctors orders....but in was too tired anyhow!
Please be kind to yourself and accept all the help you can get.
