Adeonomyosis/ Chronic Anemia & Progesterone Question

I was dxd with adenomyosis recently and started taking progesterone 100mg daily. I noticed my period cramping and pain was less but the all month low dull back pain has not subsided. Do you know how long it takes to help the back pain? I have no problem getting a hysterectomy, but I am following my drs advice and trying the progesterone first. How long do I have to try the progesterone? How many months? I have chronic anemia for 1 1/2 years and recieve iron infusions , will this help my insurance approve a hysterectomy sooner?
