had my lap/hysterectomy/vaginal on the 22nd.

I didn't even know of this site until today.Better late then never. Feeling pretty good today. Did a step down on pain killers, I really don't like feeling buzzed all the time. Still discharging somewhat, really no bleeding. Now there is this smell that I have. Showering everyday and using bacterial soap. I can assume its normal but I think not. Is it? Now taking a BM is still hard. I would think after nine days it would be simple. Glad to be here and glad to have support.

Hi I also had LAVH on 22nd I did not have BM until 26th and have only had a few of them since but at least i know they do work. I also just started having a light watery discharge but no odor, my discharge papers say if it's a foul odor to call dr, so you might want to do that also take temperature.Good luck girl and glad that you found sight too : ) Dawn

Thanks Dawn. The discharge went from red, pink now brown...I will call doctor in the morning. No temp. Hmmmmm, probably nothing....since we really can't clean up there, I go for follow up on the 7th. I can't wait until I can drive again....so bored at home...and there is nothing on Tv..B-)

No problem it sounds fairly normal and as long as no temp, i will keep clise eye on mine, I also got sent home with catheter they had to repair bladder dr put hole in during surgery, so i hopefully get that out on Monday : ) yay! Making sure everything on my body is and stays clean. Bored....... oh yes for sure and tv sucks for sure! I think tomorrow i will attempt to read it has been hard to focus on oxycodone but now am stretching times out to every 6 to 8 hrs should help. Well you have got a recovery buddy with me so hang in there : )
