pain after first sex post hysterectomy

I just reached 6 weeks PO from TAH and got the ok from my doctor for ALL activities including sex..my husband and I tried last night for the first time and I was on top,to "control" things..I wasn't excessively dry and it wasn't too painful except the bottom part of my vagina,my pelvic floor,which my doctor told me on Tuesday was spasm-ing. I also had a little spotting which is gone now as its morning. HOWEVER,I am cramping and now having all around waist/back/upper thigh pain..the intercourse itself wasn't too painful, hubby let me control things and wasn't rough at all and I obtained the big "O" with no problems ..So I'm wondering if this "day after" pain is normal the first time and if so when does it start to subside??(it's pretty intense at the moment)

If you are having intense pain, that is not considered normal. It may be from your pelvic floor spasms, but it could be something else. It may be a good idea to call your doctor and let him/her know how you feel. They may want to check things out. I would also suggest you refrain from sex until you figure out what is going on.
