enlightened on fear of anger post op
I posted about an experince I had awaking from surgery in a rage of anger. I never considered it may have been from the knock out drugs. Thanks for the insight. If it's true or not for me matters little, I intend to remind myself if I am angry as a hornet post op that it could be the drugs, and I don't need to beat my self up like I did before. WOW that was BIG. Like those pearls of wisdom. Gratefully Noom

I think that most nurses and docs have seen it all. Some people come out of anesthesia really well -- others take quite a long time and their behavior can be quite erratic.
Best wishes to you!

I've had several bad reactions coming out of anaesthetic. Luckily the nurses are pretty good humored about it.
One told me I literally sat up in bed, and projectile vomited all over her, and then lay back down. I have absolutely no memory of this whatsoever!
I've also woken up screaming and swinging fists. What an awful thought!
It is amazing how our bodies react to the medications, and we just have to know that whatever happens after, it is not our fault, as we were not really conscious.
