Cleared for intercourse but nervous--anyone else?

I feel good at the moment although I am sore at times and I still feel tender and swollen. During my 6 week post-op check up my dr said that I am ready for sex but the thought it so soon is uncomfortable and a bit scary. Has anyone felt like this and how did you manage it?

I know at about 5 wks my bf asked my doctor about sex...she told us not for 8 weeks. Next week is the 8 wk time frame. I know about about 5.5 wks we did everything leading up to intercourse, but that was it. I didnt feel anything special about it afterwards. When I asked other sisters about it...i pretty much got the same response and that was to either not worry about it or get my hormone levels checked. I did both and never told my bf about that night and my feelings.
I am not sure how it will be between us, but i am hoping for a magical moment...lol but i know we both will be more concerned about not hurting or causing me distress that we both probably will not enjoy it at all...
