TLH 12 days post total hysterectomy and ovaries removal: diarrhoea, cramps and bleeding

Dear sisters, I'm new to the forum and I'm hoping to pick up some wisdom before I go back for my check up. I had my hysterectomy and ovaries removed 12 days ago. About a week ago, the diahorrea started, stopped for a day, back again, really yellow poo (sorry about TMI). Cramps on lower abdomen before need to poo. Also, today a bit of bleeding on toilet paper after peeing. Is all this normal?

The blood could be from spotting from the vaginal cuff which is normal. The constant going from the diarrhea could be causing stress on the cuff causing the spotting. As for the diarrhea, have you rules out medication possibly causing it? Yellow could be from stomach acid which the diarrhea can 'suck' it out and down through your intestinal track.

Are you running a fever? I would definitely connect up with your doctor. It can't hurt and if you are on pain meds it could be a reaction to one of them. Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids, maybe even something with electrolytes in it like gatorade.
