LAVH 8th day post hysterectomy 😊 - recovery time for LAVH?

Good evening y'all! I hope everyone is doing well. I understand the resting and healing part, I've done pretty good with that so far. I'm pretty active, stubborn and don't do well with letting others do for me. How long is the average recovery time for a LAVH? I'm feeling great other than slight soreness. Thanks and bless you all!

As you might guess, we're all different, and some of it depends on additional procedures or any setbacks. Some Sisters are slow healers, and there's nothing that can be done to speed up the process.

For a textbook surgery and recovery, the guidelines you'll read here are 4-6 weeks of initial recovery for an LAVH. Your doctor will release you when he has no further surgical follow-up around then, but you'll likely be instructed to resume activities gradually, for full healing continues for several months. At that point, monitor how your body reacts, and look for cues that you may need to pull back.

Glad you're feeling good and that you are resuming activities, I would just add a word of caution to stay within your doctor's restrictions such as weight you can carry, vacuuming, etc.
Many do too much too soon and experience some set backs.
