low temp
Just to let you all know, that most recovery rooms will not release their patients out to the floors until their temp is over 96 (it can be very cold in the ORs). They can use a special warming blanket to help bring it up. Also, after 23 years of nursing it is more rare to see a 98.6 temp then one in the 96's, 97's or lower 98's. (the minute I turn 99 I know it and generallly fun in the 97"s) It may have been the average at one time but not anymore. Just like BP's it is always good to know what your normal is. Patients tend to run low after surgery but if we know that is your normal bp we won't get as excited as we might otherwise.
And tknoppe, someof those problems could be related to the fibroid(s frequent urination) and if your hormones are acting up there is the sleep problems. FMS can be very hard to diagnose becuase so many other tings have close or the same sypmtoms. It realy is like a puzzle for the doctors sometimes. Aren't our bodies complex and amazing. As much as we know, each one is different and that can make the tweeking to find out a diagnosis just aht much more "interesting".
