Four weeks post hysterectomy and ready to go back to work

Hi everyone it will be 4 weeks since my surgery and I'm ready to go back to work. I'm getting so bored and trying to keep myself as busy as possible. I walk everyday and read a lot. TV during the day is quite boring but manage to watch movies when I can. Hope everyone else is doing ok and feeling as well as I am.

That's great! I'm 1 week post op today. It's inspiring to know that by week 4 it's possible to be ready to get back to work. Good for you!

Thanks. I know I'm rushing it and the doctor would say no to going back to work right now but here's hoping that he will let me go back by the end of May. Keep your fingers crossed.

Are you that's awesome. I know how you feel it's getting really boring and I thought I would love to stay at home. I hope I never have to retire cause I know I would be soo bored.

I'm 2.5 weeks out and bored too! I walk, watch tv, play games but I'm ready for more!

I'm planning to go back at 3 1/2 weeks... I'm still a little sore (more like uncomfortable, strange feelings inside and incisions) but if all keeps going this way I don't see it being a problem. I like being at home, but trying to not do too much is what's boring me!
My dr said normal is 4-6 weeks, but she does have patients perfect after 2 weeks so whrnever I feel ready she will ok it

I just started week 4 of my surgery too and yes I am bored but saw the nurse today and I still have at least 3 weeks before thinking of going back to work. Netflixs has become my friend to say the least, I am catching up on movies! Good luck ladies!

Hi ladies. I went back to work at 6 weeks because I was going out of my mind stuck at home. The greatest challenge for me was sheer exhaustion that would hit about 5 hours into my day. Please please listen to you're body & be kind to yourselves. To heal internally takes a while so go carefully x

Hi, I am glad to find this post. I too am also bored. It will be 4 weeks Tuesday. My post op is tomorrow. I can't wait to hear if my doc will let me return at least part time.
