Upcoming hysterectomy 12/1: Heavy Bleeding keep taking provera?

Hi,
The doc wanted me to take provera to control my next period before surgery, WELL...... it did not work. I started early while taking provera, and it is extremely heavy. I have called the office so much, I just was wondering, if anyone had any advice if I should still take the provera...if it would help now or just not....

I am worried that I will be too anemic for surgery....

Hi Garen07 -

I know you are worried about calling the office again, but this really is something your doctor should advise you on. Being too anemic is definitely a concern, so he or she really needs to know what is happening.

We do have lots of ladies on this site, so maybe someone can tell you of their experience with this drug.
