3.5 weeks post hysterectomy: HELP! How LONG will the bleeding last?

I am a little over 3 weeks out from TVH with a/p repairs and I am still bleeding the same as in the very beginning. How long will this last?
I have been very good about not overdoing it. It doesn't matter what activity level there is. The bleeding stays the same.
Can anyone give me some insight as to how long this will last?

It is hard to tell how long this will continue. I think I had spotting for about a month or so. Everyone is different but you might want to touch base with your doc tomorrow as it should be decreasing some by now I would think. I always check with my doctor as they know what is normal and what isn't

Hi. I feel for you. I'm 7 wks post TAH- cervix ovaries uterus and I bled until 6 weeks. The first week I was ok then I grew hematomas which caused intense pressure and swelling and according to my doc and surgeon the bleeding was the hematomas discharging themselves. They said only if I was saturating a pad an hour that I should worry. It was fresh red and pink blood....everyday. At 6 weeks it became spotting... And now is fading out. I still have bruising on my tummy above scar line. My days vary so much, not according to what I do or don't do.... They just vary..

I'm 4 weeks post op and bleeding the same as in the beginning. I also got a hematoma that dr says is draining. I saw the dr today and she said it can be several more weeks of this. My bleeding is mainly pinkish I did have one evening of bright red.

I would definitely call your doctor. At worst you just get a little reassurance. I didn't start bleeding until days after my surgery and it has remained about the same for two weeks with this week beginning to get lighter.

We are all different and really our docs are the ones who will know and be able to advise us as to what is normal for our own individual recoveries. I will be thinking of you!
