Hysterectomy called off

Saw my MD for my pre op visit, and was decided that we would postpone surgery until I lost some weight. After going over the risks of surgery, I felt it was best to wait.


So.. now I need to loose 50 lbs fast... any ideas!!??

Losing 50 fast isn't the safe way to lose weight (unless you are on the Biggest Loser Show - being monitored by doctors). I suggest you join Weight Watchers AND exercise. Plan on taking about 6-7 months to lose 50 lbs. I joined WW in 2000 and successfully took off 40 pounds and have kept it off for the most part. YOU CAN DO THIS!

I was wondering if you have every taken My Alli (sp)? My mom took it after her heart surgery and has been on it for a while. She has lost about 60lbs. I would consult a Dr before doing any kind of diet or exercise plan. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Handstitches, how must you be feeling. You were so close and I am sure trying to be mentally ready and then to have to change direction must be throwing you a bit off kilter.
I have many friends who have done so well on WW and I am going to try it after my surgery. I usually plan a vacation to lose weight but my trip this year is to the castle.
I hope it all works to your advantage for a more successful surgery and recovery and just think how good you will feel about yourself.
